Launching first in Málaga · English, Spanish and French

Know your neighbours. Keep your address.

Borrow a drill from the third floor. Find the cat that slipped out. Neighbors helps people nearby meet, help and share, in real life. Your exact address is never stored.

Coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. No ads, no data brokers, no data for sale.

How it works

Three steps, then it gets out of the way

01

Set your home, once

Sign up with email, Apple or Google and confirm your email. Then set your home on the map, once. We keep only a point rounded to a 500 m grid and your neighbourhood ID. Your exact address is never stored or shown.

02

See what's happening nearby

Your feed shows posts from your neighbourhood and the ones next to it. Someone needs a hand with a wardrobe, someone found a set of keys, someone is hosting a swap on Saturday. Distances appear as ranges like ‘< 1 km’.

03

Say ‘I can help’ and meet up

Tap ‘I can help’ and a private chat opens. Agree on a time, meet at the door, hand over the drill. Then put the phone down. The app brings you together, then steps aside.

Six kinds of post

Everything a street says to itself

Every post has a type, an icon and a colour, so you can see at a glance what's being asked, offered or announced. Here's what they look like on a street in Málaga.

Features

Built for the stairwell, the pavement and the square

Events with just enough detail

Set a date, name the place and let people RSVP. The exact address stays private unless you, the host, choose to share it. Guests see who's going and get a reminder before it starts.

A map of circles, not pins

Posts and events appear as soft circles roughly where they are, never as exact points. Filter by type to see only lost pets, or only events. The map never shows which door is yours.

Chat for two, or for the whole building

Message one neighbour privately, or set up a small group for your building or your street. Real-time, with photos. Sort out who waters the plants in August without a dozen doorbells.

A profile that says what you can do

Your name, a photo, your neighbourhood and a short bio. Add skills like ‘I fix bikes’ or ‘I speak French’, so the right neighbour finds you. Delete your account any time; it's really gone within 30 days.

The verified neighbour badge

Optional. Confirm once that you're at home and you earn a small badge next to your name. We keep no history of where you've been. It's a sign that you're real and nearby, not a tracker.

Safety and privacy

Designed in from the start, not bolted on

A street works on trust. So the app knows as little about you as possible, shows even less, and puts a report and a block button within reach of everything.

Your door stays your business

We store one rounded point on a 500 m grid, never your address. Distances show as rounded ranges like ‘< 1 km’. There is no location history to leak.

Photos are checked before anyone sees them

Every image is checked before anyone else sees it. GPS and other hidden data are stripped from the photo on your phone, before it's even uploaded.

Alerts are reviewed first

A warning about a break-in or a burst pipe can spread fast. So every Alert waits in a moderation queue before it's published, to keep rumours off the street.

Report and block, everywhere

Every post, comment, message and profile has a report option and a block button. Mute words you'd rather not see. If content is removed, you're told why and can appeal.

Verified email, 18 and over

You confirm your email before you can post. The app is for adults only. New accounts run in slow mode for the first 24 hours, which keeps spam off your street.

No ads, no data brokers, no selling

There is no advertising SDK in the app. We don't sell data or share it with brokers. Our own analytics are minimal and stay with us.

Your data, in your hands

Under GDPR you can export everything we hold about you, or delete your account. Deletion is real: your data is gone within 30 days, not hidden behind a flag.

Events without the home address

Hosts give a place name, not a street number, unless they decide otherwise. Meet at the bakery, the square or the fountain. Your flat stays off the map.

“Technology that brings people together, then steps aside.”

We build Neighbors from a studio in Málaga, and this is where it launches first, in English, Spanish and French. We'd rather get one city right, street by street, than ten cities half right. If you live here, we'd like you on the list.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

Does Neighbors know where I live?

Roughly. When you set your home, we save a point rounded to a grid of about 500 m and the ID of your neighbourhood. We never store or show your exact address, and we keep no history of where you have been.

Who can see my posts?

People in your neighbourhood and the ones next to it. Your posts show a rounded distance, such as ‘< 1 km’, and appear on the map as a rough circle, never as a point on your door.

How do I sign up?

With your email and a password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. You'll confirm your email before your first post. You need to be 18 or over.

What happens if someone misbehaves?

Report or block them from any post, comment, chat or profile. Photos are checked before anyone sees them, Alerts are reviewed before they're published, and you can mute words. If we remove content, we say why and you can appeal.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No and no. There are no ad SDKs in the app, no data brokers and no selling of data. We run our own minimal analytics to keep things working. Under GDPR you can export or delete everything at any time.

When can I download it?

Soon. Neighbors is coming to the App Store and Google Play, starting with Málaga, in English, Spanish and French. There's no date yet. Join the waitlist and we'll email you once, when it's live.
